TESTIMONIALS
Why families love Empowerly
I would have never gotten into my dream school had I not had Empowerly. I attended a less-than-pristine high school and had been barely making it by with absolutely no help leading up to the college application process. My counselor worked with me for over a year and a half leading up to applications which made everything a breeze. As of today, I am committed to a top 50 university and can confidently say that I could not have done this–or anything close to this– without all the extra help.
– Wassila, Empowerly student
The resources available at Empowerly are very helpful, but my favorite part about this program is the honesty that everyone in this program has. My counselor is amazing at picking apart her students and finding their strengths that colleges will fight for. She will tell you when an essay is not working well or where your application is lacking, but when she compliments your work, you know that she genuinely means it…honesty like hers is what will get students into competitive universities.
– Jake, Empowerly student
My daughter got accepted into top tech schools like Caltech, UC Berkeley, Georgia Tech, etc. for Engineering. This wouldn’t have been possible without the support of Empowerly and especially Kate. Kate was a remarkable counselor who clearly understood my daughter’s needs, strengths, and goals, and helped her prepare for and strategize her college application.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it too early / too late to get a college admissions counselor?
It’s never too early to seek out an admissions counselor! In fact, our college prep services range from eighth grade through senior year of high school. It all depends on your specific needs. We assist with everything from interest discovery and study habit refinement to admissions interview prep—and everything in between.
Do you guarantee college admission?
College admission should never be guaranteed and goes against the National Association of College Admissions Counseling Code of Ethics.
What we can say is that over the last five years, 98% of our students have been accepted to a top 100 college, experiencing higher rates of acceptance into elite schools as compared to students without a dedicated counselor and development plan.
Do you focus on students only interested in Ivy or elite colleges?
While many of our students have been accepted into some of the most prestigious schools in the country, we strive to empower students of all interests, so they may realize their full potential for college and beyond. Past students have gained acceptance to a broad range of schools, including ivy, state colleges, private universities, and more. Ask your admissions consultant for any details on specific schools.
How is my admissions counselor selected?
You will be matched with your best-fit counselor based on numerous criteria—area of study, extracurriculars, target schools, and personal preferences, just to name a few. Your counselor will work with you on a unique guidance plan and meeting preference that works best for you, and they’ll support you through every stage of the admissions process.
How much does college counseling cost?
The cost of having a dedicated counselor varies and depends on numerous factors specific to the student’s needs and their goals for the future. With the rising costs of higher education and the increasingly selective admissions landscape at top schools, hiring a college counselor can be a worthwhile investment that yields tangible results down the road.
