Augusta University offers an accelerated and normal-paced program for a Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Science degree. The 3/4 accelerated program allows you to easily switch to 4/4 whenever you want. Both of these programs offer a lockstep curriculum, and the courses are designed in a way that builds on the previous course.
Baylor University/ Baylor College of Medicine
Duration: 8 years
Min GPA: 3.7
Min Test Scores: ACT 26 – 31 SAT 1200 -1300
Baylor University’s combined undergraduate and medicine doctor program is highly competitive at Baylor University and Baylor College of Medicine. All students in the degree program need to take pre-med coursework and complete their academic requirements before applying. The admitted students first join Baylor University and spend four years completing the first half of their degree, and then move to the Baylor College of Medicine for another four years.
Boston University/ Boston University of School Medicine
Duration: 7 years
Min GPA: 3.5
Min Test Scores: No Minimum
The Boston University offers a combined program that offers a degree in the College of Arts & Sciences and The Boston University School of Medicine. The first three years of the degree start in the College of Arts & Sciences, and then the students are admitted to the School of Medicine. You can also enroll in the accelerated program, and to do that; you can take a summer session for 12 weeks. You only need seven semesters of undergraduate work to get the advanced standing credit.
George Washington University/G.W. School of Medicine and Health Sciences
Duration: 7 years
Min GPA: 3.0
Min Test Scores: ACT 29 SAT 1270
This program is exclusively designed for high school students and is a very academically competitive program. This = seven-year program starts off in the George Washington University Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, and the students are then enrolled in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences after completing specific coursework. It is required of all applicants to meet the technical standards for the M.D. program before admission.
Rutgers University/. Rutgers New Jersey Medical School
Duration: 7 years
Min GPA: 3.6
Min Test Scores: ACT 34 SAT 1500
The BS/MD program is 7 years long and is a joint degree offered between the two Northeast schools: School of Arts & Sciences-Newark and New Jersey Medical School at Rutgers University. Students must be in their senior year of high school when applying for this degree.
University Of Pittsburgh/ University of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine
Duration: 8 years
Min GPA: 3.75
Min Test Scores: ACT 34 SAT 1490
The duration of the program itseslf is eight years. Students begin their program at the University of Pittsburgh, where the they will complete their Bachelors in Science. Once finished, students will then go to the University of Pitts for their Doctor of Medicine degree.
