It has been said that being a business major ensures greater possibilities and secures career options after graduation. While nothing can be guaranteed, the career prospects are a major draw for some practical majors like business.

Business courses are among the most in-demand majors, enticing to those seeking limitless opportunities and more lucrative career options. In fact, some argue these factors contribute significantly to the number of students developing a passion for the field today.

That said, there is truth to the adaptability and utility of a business degree. It’s no surprise the percentage and number of students opting for business majors is so high. 

What’s amazing, however, is that the majority of these students now develop this passion at a younger age, which is both impressive and proactive.

With more years to gain experience and practice, young starters may have a leg up. But one challenge that everyone encounters is picking the best college for business to help them become exceptional in their field.

Many outstanding universities and colleges across the country have always had great business programs. At the same time, others are now beginning to include business in their brochures because of popular demands.

There are pros and cons to both newer and older programs. However, it would be best to attend college admission counseling first to know the best universities for business and how they operate.

Most universities offer several business programs. That said, selecting the best out of the many business schools in your region may not be as straightforward as you expect.

Here is a list of colleges with great business programs in the southeast to start off your search.

University of Virginia

The University of Virginia is an iconic institution with a reputation as a world-class research institute, with over 200 years of experience. The university is a public research institution in Charlottesville, Virginia and was founded in 1819 by a group led by Thomas Jefferson.

The university has a large pool of students. Due to the value it offers and it has ranked 38th best university in the United States. UVA has nine business colleges, making it a southeast business university and an ideal one for you.

Georgia Institute of Technology

As its name states, the Georgia Institute of Technology is a technology-focused university, but it has a fair share to offer as far as southeast business programs.

The Georgia Institute of Technology is a technological institute and a public research university located in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 1885 and has grown to become one of the most prestigious universities in the world.

Georgia Tech also ranked 38th among national universities on the 2022 edition of Best Colleges. It offers majors in 17 business programs, making it a contender for the best southeast business university.

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is a flagship of the University of North Carolina system. It is a public research institute, and it is one of the oldest public universities in the United States. Founded in 1789, and it is located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

The university is not actually an Ivy League institution, but it is often considered an honorary one. Due to the fact it offers academic standards similar to Ivy League institutions.

UNC offers a perfect blend of academic and social activities, and its 11 business colleges put it up as one of the best business schools in the southeast region.

Emory University

Emory University is among the best universities in the States to get a college degree in business. That’s  not just because the university is one of the biggest in the northeast. The university is known to offer value and built a reputation for excellence in past years.

Emory University is a private research institute founded in 1836 and named after Methodist bishop John Emory. The university is located in Atlanta, Georgia, and it is one of the best business schools in the southeast, with 18 business colleges.

Tulane University

Tulane University is a private nonprofit research university located in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Although the university was initially founded in 1834, it became a proper university in 1847. The university got its name when it was privatized in 1884 under the endowment of Paul Tulane.

The university focuses on business management and other business-related degrees, and it offers majors in 37 business programs. They are one of the best business schools in the southeast region and the United States at large.
