6. Contributor Information: If you're a dependent student, your guardian(s) or contributor(s) will need to provide their information as well. Your contributor(s) will receive a separate email inviting them to complete their part of the form.
7. Financial Information: Use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool to import your tax information directly into the FAFSA. Failure to provide consent for this tool will prevent you from submitting the FAFSA.

After both student and contributor have completed the online portion of the FAFSA, what happens next? You’re not quite done yet. There are still a few pieces of information you’ll need to locate.
