For the SAT, the middle 50% scored 750-800 on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing portion and 780-800 on the Math section.

As one of the nation’s most selective schools, Vanderbilt University expects applicants to have taken the most rigorous high school curriculum possible while still maintaining a high GPA. The school recommends that those applying to the engineering program take calculus, calculus-based physics, and chemistry.In addition to academic strengths, the Vanderbilt admissions team wants to gauge how applicants will contribute to the Commodore community at large. In reviewing recommendation letters and personal essays, counselors want to know how an applicant’s skills, character traits, points of view, and life experiences will add to the rich fabric of campus life.

There is no predictor that can indicate your true chances of acceptance. However, successful students are typically in the top 10% of their class with ACT and SAT scores of 34 and 750 or higher, respectively.
