Our counselor was very helpful and a really good fit for my son. He helped with the college list and strategy and was there to help throughout the entire process. There is so much to know! The Empowerly editing team is great - most edits were done within an hour or so (they guarantee 24 hours). Empowerly also offers “research requests” where you can ask any question, for example they can offer “reverse chance me” advice or answer any obscure question you might have about colleges and programs - trust me, you will have lots of questions. They send the question to someone who is knowledgeable about that particular topic. No one person can know everything so this service is very helpful.   They also have another service, which I have not seen anywhere else: you send your entire application to be reviewed by a former college admission officer and they give you feedback. Those are incredible - they gave extremely valuable and brutally honest feedback. My son applied to CS/EECS programs, which are extremely competitive and I am so glad we had Empowerly to guide us in this process. It really is way more complex than I imagined.   My son ended up having great options to choose from. He got accepted early to UC Berkeley as a Regents' and Chancellor's Scholar which was one of his top choices and such a great fit for him. He was thrilled to accept the offer. Overall my son had a really good experience with Empowerly and the perfect outcome and I would definitely highly recommend them.
